Uttarakhand: Helicopter crash in Uttarkashi kills 5; rescue work underway

At least five passengers were killed and two suffered critical injuries as a helicopter crashed near Ganganani in Uttarkashi district on Thursday. According to Garhwal divisional commissioner

Vinay Shankar Pandey, the incident took place near the Bhagirathi River, below Nag Mandir.  Rescue operations are currently underway. Teams from the police, Army, disaster management (QRT), 108 ambulance service, Tehsildar Bhatwari, BDO Bhatwari, and the revenue department were sent to the site.
