Uttarakhand CM Dhami offers first prayers at Gangotri as Char Dham Yatra kicks off

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Dham to offer prayers and participate in the rituals. While he performed a ceremonial puja, the first puja of the season was notably conducted in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reached the Dham with an offering of fruits to chants of Ganga Maiyya ki jai. The CM said that he had prayed for the well-being of the people of Uttarakhand.He described the Yatra as a ‘maha utsav’.
