Union Minister Ready to extend all help for development of Smart City

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash assured that the Center will provide all possible support to develop Kakinada as a smart city.
On Wednesday, he inspected Raja Tank, Vivekananda Park, Godavari Kala Kshetra (GKK), MS Sanjeev Rao Vigyan Kendra, and Integrated Command Control Center along with Kakinada MP Vangageeta, Joint Collector Ilakkiyya and Kakinada Mayor Sunkara Siva Prasanna.
Joint Collector Ilakkiyya and KMC Commissioner Ramesh Babu explained to the minister the various development works undertaken in the city with the funds of Smart City.
He said that Central Government allotted Rs. 20 crores and the works of GGK have reached the final stage. Similarly, Rs.15 crores has been spent on the science center and 80 percent of the works have been completed.
Minister Prakash said that the Center and the states are jointly working to develop Kakinada as a smart city. He expressed satisfaction with the completion of the works.
