Uber Report 2022: Mumbai is most forgetful city in India

Aadhaar cards, 5kg dumbbells, college certificates and birthday cakes are also on the list of items left unattended by Uber riders, according to a report by the Ride-Hailing app, which makes Mumbai the most forgotten city in India.

Common suspects — phones, speakers, headphones, wallets and bags — topped the list of items left in Uber cabs across India last year. Other items include groceries, thermos / water bottles and phone chargers. Apart from being generally backward, Indians have also forgotten special things like Ghewar (Indian sweet dish), flutes, Aadhaar cards, dumbbells, bike handles, cricket bats, spike guards and college certificates. The Lost and Found Index 2022 Edition released by Uber.

The lost items reached a maximum in a few days. The index revealed that "people are more likely to forget their clothes on Saturdays" and "their laptops on stressful Wednesdays".

The most memorable time of the day for Indians became the afternoon slots at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
