Two lakh devotees attended Vinukonda Tirunallu

On the first day of Ekadashi, Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Tirunallu, more than two lakh people visited the hilltop temple of Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy in Vinukonda town of Palandu district on Sunday.

The ghat road from Vellatoor to the temple gutta was crowded with devotees. The temple authorities performed special pooja to Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Due to Covid-19, Ramalingeswara Swamy Thirunallu has not been held for the past three years. The state government has established a ghat road for the convenience of the devotees coming to the temple. Vehicles are not allowed on the mound.

District Collector Sivashankar, SP Ravi Shankar Reddy and MLA Bolla Brahmanaidu presented silk clothes to Sri Ramalingeswara Swami with the courtesy of the state government and performed special pooja in the temple.

Bolla Brahma Naidu performed Purnahuti Homa. Vedic scholars blessed them and gave them prasads. Additional police forces have been deployed to maintain law and order at Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Tirunallu Temple.

Municipal, Revenue and Endowments Departments have made elaborate arrangements for Tirunalla in collaboration with other departments. Voluntary organizations and labor unions have arranged free meals for the devotees who come to the temple. Similarly, packets of buttermilk and drinking water were distributed. Twelve Vidyut Prabhas were installed and cultural programs were organized. LED screens have been installed for the convenience of devotees.
