Amid the liquor scam controversy and protests by BJP leaders at the residence of TRS MLC Kalwakuntla Kavitha, ministers, MPs, MLAs and other TRS leaders visited her residence and expressed solidarity and condemned the action of the saffron party leaders.
The TRS leaders denied the accusations made by the BJP leaders against Kavita and called it a smear campaign against the TRS leaders. Thalasani Srinivas Yadav reached Kavita's residence first, followed by ministers and leaders.
Srinivas Yadav and Satyavathi Rathore said that they will not tolerate any smear campaign against TRS leaders and they will teach BJP a proper lesson. He alleged that the BJP goons tried to attack the woman leader's residence and that the person who fought in the Telangana movement is a proof of how cheap the BJP leaders are in politics.
TRS leaders said that conducting raids with organizations like CBI and ED without answering the questions of opposition leaders on public issues is not a good practice in democracy. TRS leaders said that they will not tolerate harassment of BJP leaders and will fight against BJP's anti-people policies.
Later, in the press conference, the TRS leaders criticized the BJP leaders on many issues. MLA Balka Suman alleged that the BJP leaders are attacking and attacking the opposition leaders without paying attention to the administration.
BJP leaders are plotting because Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is exposing wrongdoings of BJP. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are afraid of KCR. Suman said that the BJP leaders are targeting his family members because they cannot face KCR.
The TRS leaders said that the CBI has been turned into a central BJP investigation and has targeted everyone from a small leader in the Congress party to Sonia Gandhi. Suman said that ED attacks are being conducted on the leaders of Shiv Sena, Trinamool Congress, AAP, NCP and RJD.
TRS leaders said that this is a war between political existence and unstable politics. MLA Jeevan Reddy questioned how the details of the investigation are with the BJP leaders. Jeevan Reddy said that the ED had filed 22,000 cases during the eight-year BJP regime, which was never seen in independent India.
Jeevan Reddy said that protests will also be held at the houses of Bandi Sanjay, G Kishan Reddy and other BJP leaders. The TRS leader claimed that BJP MP Pravesh Varma, who had accused Kavitha, ran away without answering questions on the liquor scam on Tuesday. All he could say was that the CBI would investigate the case, the TRS leaders said.
