Jagat Prakash Nadda National President of BJP will release the BJP-JS roadmap for the 2024 Assembly elections in the forth coming public meeting which will be attended in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday.

Will the name of the joint chief ministerial candidate be announced along with the procedure to be followed for alliances? The same issue is currently being hotly debated in political circles.

The BJP ally Jana Sena is not only participating in the arrangements for the JP Nadda Sabha 'Godavari Garjana' on Tuesday but is also playing a key role in mobilizing the masses.

A few days ago, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan announced that he was waiting for a roadmap from the BJP. At present, the same word is often heard during Nadda's visit to Rajahmundry.

Things changed after Jana Sena leader Nagendra Babu recently announced that Pawan Kalyan was the CM candidate with whom he had an alliance. Jana Sena has also started insisting on declaring Pawan as the joint CM candidate. Pressure is mounting on the BJP to give Jana Sena clarity on the CM candidate.

Two days before the 'Godavari Garjana' assembly, Jana Sena leaders of the joint East Godavari district met BJP state leaders here on Sunday and held talks.

The Jana Sena leaders appealed to the BJP leaders to see their national president JP Nadda announce the name of Pawan Kalyan as the joint CM candidate of the BJP-Jana Sena alliance at the Rajahmundry meeting itself.

BJP state leaders said they would definitely bring the matter to the attention of their central leadership. The Godavari roar is expected to have a serious impact on the coordination between the BJP and the Jana Sena.

Jana Sena has been asking the BJP to give them a roadmap for the last while. According to party leaders, the roadmap is a strategy to prevent the anti-party vote from splitting in the eyes of the people, as well as announcing the name of the joint CM candidate.

State, district and parliamentary constituency level coordination committees have been set up for coordination between BJP and Jana Sena activists. But committee meetings were held only twice. These meetings did not take place due to the election of Covid and local bodies. Due to this, full coordination between the two parties has not yet been reached.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Somu Weeraraj announced that the BC candidate would be given the post of CM. This caused serious embarrassment to the Jana Sena leadership. Jana Sena district president Kandula Durgesh said it was the responsibility of the state BJP leadership to take their views into consideration.

Party sources said the BJP state leadership was also positive on Pawan Kalyan's candidature. He, however, said that the Central Committee would have some restrictions and procedures in announcing the name of the joint CM candidate.
