Telugu states among top achievers as per ranking

According to a report released by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Telangana are among the top seven states in the ranking of states and union territories based on the implementation of the Business Reforms Action Plan 2020.

Andhra Pradesh topped in first place with a score of 97.89 per cent. Gujarat was second with 97.77 per cent, followed by Tamil Nadu with 96.97 per cent and Telangana with 94.86 per cent.

The Aspires category includes seven states, including Assam, Kerala and Goa. In the category of emerging business ecosystems, there are 11 states and UTs, including Delhi, Puducherry and Tripura. States categorized as achievers include Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh. The aspirants' list includes Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jharkhand, Kerala, Rajasthan and West Bengal.

Officials commented that Andhra Pradesh was taking the lead in implementing all the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) reforms and that the effectiveness in implementing the reforms was evident as AP currently ranks first among all states in India in the EoDB index.

They can get permits within a maximum of 21 working days without having to physically visit any department. Since its inception, the portal has approved 71,164 (as of June 29, 2022) permits, permits and licenses for industrial establishment in the state.

“By next year, 1.25 lakh MSMEs in the state will be worth Rs. The government has set a target of setting up an investment of Rs 15,000 crore, which will provide employment to 1.50 lakh people,”he said. And cobblestone ceremonies should be held for industries every month.

The minister said Rs 1,700 crore had been applied as incentives to MSMEs and another Rs 500 crore would be given in August.
