State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday condemned the arrest of Adilabad MP Soyam Bapurao, saying the police running on the legs of BJP workers at Manmad in Nirmal district was a heinous act.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, he said that although the students of IIIT-Basara are practicing restraint, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao does not care about them.

Thinking that the government and CM KCR are sleeping on their problems, the students want to protest peacefully in a democratic manner. He said that the state ministers are looking down on the protests. He questioned why the local MP was being prevented from visiting the students. Referring to KCR, he said, “You don't go and allow others to see the students.

He commented that the CM is in a miserable situation where he cannot solve even the smallest problems. Karimnagar MP demanded reasons for arrest of Adilabad MP. He alleged that when the BJP cadre requested the police not to arrest the MP, they put jeeps on their legs and tried to kill them.

The BJP chief said that many policemen in the state have realized the nature of the CM and are acting with sincerity.

But some policemen are supporting TRS leaders. In Nirmal, the authorities were accused of torturing members and leaders of Hindu organizations by favoring a certain group. Moreover, the attack on the BJP cadre continued.

Bandi demanded the immediate release of the MP and allow the students to come together to address their issues. We will explain the problems of the students to the center and solve them.
