Supreme Court dismisses plea to clear road blockade caused by farmers' protest

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a plea directing the Centre and authorities to immediately clear blockades on national and State highways in Punjab where farmers are staging protests.

A Bench headed by Justice Surya Kant said similar petitions are already pending in the apex court, and it did not want another one to add to the number.
