SRKR Engg students win Hackthon championship

A student team of six members of SRKR College stood first in the country at the Smart India Hackathon Championship organized jointly by the All India Council for Technical Education and the Union Ministry of Education on August 25 and 26 at DY Patil University, Pune. The principal of the college is Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju.
Speaking to the media here, the principal said that the college team got prize money of Rs. 1 lakh A team of students including P Parveen Teja (IT Team Leader), M Ganesh Babu (CSBS), KNV Gautam (IT), Charan Sai (IT), G Aishwarya (IT) prepared a web portal and app to assess their talent. Students in the new system of education Dr. M. Suresh Babu and Jagadish Reddy acted as guides for this group.
Another group of students who participated in the Smart India Hackathon organized at Jaipur Manipal University came second by creating a web portal and app to provide charging facility for electric vehicles, the principal said.
The team consists of Swetha Velgala (ECE), P Kusuma (ECE), Pulakhandam Manyashree (ECE), Lekkala Harshvardhana Naidu (EEE), Veerapu Kishore Kumar (EEE) and Sathya Sai Uppala (EEE). Assistant Professor Kurella Pawankumar and Dr. N Gopalakrishnamurthy were the guides.
Secretary and Correspondent Nishant Verma, Vice-President SV Rangaraju, Governing Body Member Satya Prateek Verma, Principal Dr. M Jagapathi Raju congratulated the students in a program organized in the college on Tuesday.
Dr. N Gopala Krishna Murthy, Dr. Suresh Babu, Dr. BH KR Verma, Dr. N Uday Kumar, Dean Dr. KR Satyanarayana, Dr. BHVN Lakshmi, Dr. Brahmaraju, Dr. Bhavani, Dr. Chandrasekhar, Dilip and others participated in the program.
