The laborers of Srikakulam district are living a miserable life in Saudi Arabia. TDP Srikakulam MP K Rammohan Naidu presented a petition in New Delhi on Thursday along with External Affairs Joint Secretary Vipul Kumar citing the problems of workers in the Arabian country.
The MP requested the Foreign Affairs Department officer to investigate the matter and find out that a person named Putta Kurma Rao from Kollipadu village of Vajrapukottur mandal is missing in the country and his family members are worried about his safety.
Another laborer named Nakka Seshagiri from Loharibanda village of Mandasa mandal was scolded and warned by the employer in Saudi Arabia and the worker was harassed daily by the employer and recently the workers told their problems to his family members and family members. The MP explained that it was reported to him.
Another laborer identified as Saini Janardhanrao of Uddanam Gopinadhapuram village of Vajrapukottur Mandal was injured at his workplace. But there his master neglected to treat him properly. He asked the authorities to make necessary arrangements to bring the injured here safely.
