SP asks people to be alert to cyber crimes, loan apps

Guntur Urban SP K Arif Hafeez asked people to be vigilant against cyber criminals and loan app operators who cheat innocent people. He released posters of loan apps along with police officials at a function held at the DPO in Guntur city on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the SP said that unsociable people send requests through WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram and asked people to be alert if they receive such messages. He urged the victims of loan apps to solve their problem on Cell No: 86888 31520 if they are facing any problem or threat.

The police officers were directed to conduct awareness programs of this type in all the police stations of the district and create awareness among the people. It is known that a housewife attempted suicide in Mangalagiri rural mandal of the district, unable to bear the harassment of the loan app administrators.
