The Chandigarh administration on Friday issued an alert after receiving an air warning from the Air Force Station, signalling a possible attack. Sirens were sounded across the city, with officials urging residents to stay indoors and away from balconies, according to PTI.
The move comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following cross-border hostilities. Indian Army successfully intercepted a barrage of missile and drone attacks in several parts of J&K, Punjab and Rajasthan on Thursday evening, with the Armed Forces also destoying at least two Pakistani F-16 aircraft.
