Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday launched a blistering attack on the BJP-led NDA over the November 2024 Maharashtra assembly election results, accusing the saffron party of orchestrating a "match-fixing" strategy to secure its unprecedented victory. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance which includes the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won 235 of the 288 seats. The BJP alone bagged 132 seats, marking its best-ever performance in the state.
