On the occasion of 75 years of independence, the district administration organized a heritage walk at Undavalli of Guntur district on Thursday.
District Collector M Venugopala Reddy, Joint Collector G Rajakumari, District SP K Arif Hafeez, Guntur Mirchi Yard Chairman Chandragiri Yesuratnam, Alcohol Liberation Campaign Committee Chairman Vallam Lakshmana Reddy, Tenali Sub Collector Nidhi Meena, Tadepalli-Mangalagiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sharada Devi and officials at the heritage walk. Various government departments participated.
Collector Venugopala Reddy started the rally which continued till Undavalli Caves by waving the flag at Undavalli Centre. Participated in heritage walk holding national flags and visited historic Undavalli caves.
On this occasion, Collector Venugopalareddy said that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programs are being organized as per the directives of the Central and State Governments and will continue till August 15 and the sacrifices of the freedom fighters will be explained. District Revenue Officer K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Deputy Collector Bhaskar Naidu, Tadepalli Tehsildar Srinivasa Reddy and others participated.
