Nara Lokesh on delimitation: Some states making it an election issue, Andhra won't

Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, speaking at the India Today Conclave 2025, addressed concerns over the upcoming delimitation exercise, asserting that population control should not be used to the disadvantage of southern states.

“The entire population control shouldn’t be used against the southern states. I agree with that logic,” Lokesh stated, acknowledging concerns raised by regional leaders regarding the impact of delimitation on states that have successfully managed population growth.
