According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast rains in Andhra Pradesh, but daytime temperatures will continue to rise above 40 degrees Celsius in most places. The highest daytime temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Samarthkotta in Kakinada district during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 pm on Tuesday.
As per the data provided by the AP State Development Planning Society (APSDPS), daytime temperatures in 155 places in the state were above 40 degrees Celsius. Heat conditions prevailed in eight places. Three in East Godavari, two in West Godavari, one in Alluri Sitaramaraj, Krishna and NTR districts in each zone. More heat is expected in 11 zones on Wednesday and 18 zones on Thursday.
According to the IMD Daily Weather Forecast, parts of the southwest Arabian Sea, parts of the southeastern Arabian Sea, the Maldives and the Comorin region, the Bay of Bengal between the south and east and some parts of the southwest monsoon are likely to advance further. Northeastern Bay of Bengal within 48 hours of arrival. Cyclone circulation over northern inland Tamil Nadu and neighboring areas is now in the southern interior of Karnataka and in the neighborhood between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above sea level.
It rained in one or two places in Costa AP in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Dry weather prevails in Rayalaseema. Vijayanagaram Garividi, Srikakulam district Tekkali recorded maximum rainfall of 5 cm. The IMD on Wednesday warned of strong winds of 40-50 kmph in the coastal districts of the state. Light to moderate showers are likely at one or two places in the coastal and Rayalaseema districts.
