Minister asserts his govt is Farmer’s welfare

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Chief Ministrer of Andhra Pradesh has turned agriculture into a festival aiming for the farmers' welfare, said Home Minister Taneti Vanitha On Tuesday.
She started the East Godavari District YSR Machine Service Scheme in Rajahmundry and distributed agricultural machinery to the beneficiaries of the Cluster Community Hiring Center.
At a meeting set up afterwards, the minister said that in the past there was one agriculture officer for each zone. 'Today RBKs have been set up in every village and farm personnel have been recruited. Agriculture officials are educating the farmers on the availability of quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and cultivation techniques.
Margani Bharatram MP of Rajahmundry said the government was trying to support the farmers and help them in their economic development.
Dr K Madhavi Lata District Collector said the government has allocated Rs 691.74 crore under the 40 per cent subsidy to 166 CHC beneficiaries in the district.
Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja, Gopalapuram MLA Talari Venkatrao, RDO Chaitanya Varshini, District Agriculture Officer Madhavarao, DCCB Chairman Akula Veerraju, YSRCP Rural Coordinator Chandana Nageswarao were present.
