Krishna District Collector participates in Suposhitha Andhra Pradesh

Krishna District Collector P. Ranjit Basha informed that the state government is implementing many nutrition-related programs through ICDS to prevent malnutrition among children and pregnant women.
Under the Jagananna Goru Mudda scheme, students are being provided with nutritious food. On Tuesday, the Collector participated as the Chief Guest in 'Recommended Andhra Pradesh' as part of Nutrition Month celebrations at the Collectorate in Machilipatnam. On this occasion, the children were fed nutritious food.
On this occasion, the collector said that the state government will provide health ID cards to every child on the pattern of the central government, and it will be possible to know the health status of the child through the app.
He said it would also help in providing nutritious food to the children as they grow. Ranjit Basha suggested that ANMs, ASHA, Anganwadi workers and women police should visit the villages at least once a month and make lists of pregnant women, infants and children.
It is advised to identify pregnant women suffering from anemia and malnutrition. He said that they will be provided with vitamin and iron tablets along with nutritious food. The Collector directed all the concerned officials to organize district-wide awareness programs on malnutrition and anemia.
ICDS PD Suwarna, DWAMA PD GV Suryanarayana, DMHO Dr Geetabai, DEO Tahera Sultana and others participated in the programme.
