Home Minister inspects Annamapalli aqueduct project

Home Minister Taneti Vanitha said that even though the Godavari flood has receded, people should be alert and not cooperate.

Minister Vanitha along with Transport Minister Pinipe Vishwarup, Housing and District In-Charge Minister Jogi Ramesh and District Collector Himanshu Shukla inspected the Annampalli Aqueduct project of I Polavaram Mandal of Konaseema District on Sunday.

Minister Vanitha said that as per the orders of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, relief measures are being taken for the flood victims. She wished people not to worry and have confidence that the government is providing them with all possible assistance.

After identifying the flood victims, the officials moved them to the rehabilitation centers and took relief measures. Food and medicines are being provided to the flood victims.

Vanita said that after conducting an aerial survey, the CM has directed the officials to provide all possible support to the flood victims.

The CM directed the officials to provide full assistance and cooperation to the flood victims without any loss of life. She said that all the officials in the districts have taken necessary steps to provide assistance and cooperation to the flood victims as per the CM's orders.

She said that the authorities have also taken up the work of strengthening the weak lifts in the Konaseema area.

Minister Jogi Ramesh said that the government is supporting the flood victims in all ways besides strengthening the embankments to avoid flooding. He said that the flood will recede at the Polavaram irrigation project.
