Ekalavya Schools scores 100% success in Classes X, XII exams

All Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Andhra Pradesh achieved 100 percent pass rate in classes X and XII in 2020-21. These students are not only making their schools proud but also entering professional courses.
In 2019-2020, 64 per cent admissions were taken in undergraduate courses, seven per cent in engineering courses, 1.6 per cent in medical courses, nine per cent in medical allied services and six per cent in other professional courses.
Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh Saruta revealed these statistics in response to a question asked by YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Reddy sought details along with their performance.
The minister said that in total 28 MMARs have been sanctioned for the state, Addathigala and Rampachodavaram in East Godavari district have been sanctioned in 2021-22, both of which are operational along with others.
A detailed Management Information System (MIS) for EMRS has been developed by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) with several modules that have the facility to capture various information about students including alumni of EMRSs.
On the programs for the students, the Minister further said that the Mission (Going Online as Leaders) is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Meta (formerly Facebook) through the concept of guides and mentors for the digital empowerment of tribal youth and women. Online training modules across the states offering many opportunities like life skills, digital literacy, leadership and entrepreneurship with online training modules.
