EG woman secures top rank in Group I-2018 exams

Dr. Rani Sushmita of Pithapuram, East Godavari secured the first rank group in the I-2018 examinations and was appointed as Deputy Collector. K Srinivasulu Raju of Kothulaguttapalli of Kadapa district and Sanjanasimha of Hyderabad secured two and three ranks respectively. They were also appointed as Deputy Collectors.

APPSC Chairman D Gautam Sawang released Group I- 2018 results here on Tuesday. Out of 167 posts, the results have been released for 165 posts. After four years, APPSC has started the Group-1 recruitment process.

Speaking on this occasion, Sawang said that 67 women and 96 men have been selected. Four posts were not filled due to various reasons. Congratulating all the appointed candidates, he said that the candidates have been waiting for the results for four years.

A total of 9,679 candidates appeared for Mains in December 2020. Seven of the top 10 shortlisted candidates are women. The evaluation was conducted in digital format and the results were declared in April 2020. As directed by the High Court, the results were released in May after manual evaluation.

According to the orders of the High Court, APSC has formed three boards and completed the interviews.

Notification for 110 Group-1, 182 Group-2 posts will be released APPSC will release notification for 110 Group-1 posts and 182 Group-. II posts next month. Written examination will be conducted for 31 posts of endowments department and junior assistant posts this month.

He said that digital evaluation will be discussed in the High Court and digital technology will play a crucial role in APPSC exams in the coming days.
