Earthquake hits Los Angeles as experts warn of 'aftershocks' after jarring tremor

A 3.93 magnitude earthquake hit near Malibu, California, on Sunday night, causing brief tremors across parts of the Greater Los Angeles area, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was recorded at 8:17 pm PDT (3:17am GMT) approximately 6.2 miles northwest of Malibu, and registered as a 3.9 magnitude tremor across the wider Los Angeles region. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
