Delhi Fog: Flights And Trains Delay Due To Poor Visibility; IMD Issues Orange Alert

The city has been experiencing a dense layer of fog on the morning of January 17, 2025, resulting in zero visibility. As a result, the weather department issued an Orange alert for dense fog. The Indian Railways reported that 140 flights were affected by the conditions, leading to numerous delays and the cancellation of 10 flights on that day.
A cold wave has enveloped the national capital, significantly impacting the railway and airport networks. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts minimum temperatures around 8 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures around 18 degrees Celsius.
