Cyclone Fengal: Deep depression likely to intensify into cyclonic storm by Nov 29, says IMD

With heavy rain hitting parts of Tamil Nadu due to the deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal, IndiGo Airlines on Wednesday notified passengers that flight services to and from Chennai, Tuticorin, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, and Salem will remain disrupted. The deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal moved ​northwards with a speed of 2 kmph during past six hours about 110 km east-northeast of Trincomalee, as per India Meteorological Department's (IMD) update at 8:46 am on Thursday.
