Court directs BJP leaders not to comment against Kavitha

The city civil court on Wednesday issued notices to BJP leaders including MP Pravesh Verma and former MLA Majinder Singh Sirsa not to make any public comments on Kalvakuntla's poem on the liquor scam.
Kavita filed a defamation case against BJP leaders alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao's daughter was involved in the liquor scam in Delhi. The TRS MLC filed a case in the city civil court seeking an injunction against BJP leaders making baseless allegations.
She demanded an unconditional apology from the leaders for making false and baseless allegations to malign her image.
The 9th Additional Chief Civil Judge, Hyderabad directed the BJP leaders not to make any defamatory statement on the poem in print, electronic, social media or any other medium. The court adjourned the further hearing to September 13.
Ministers, MLAs and many TRS leaders expressed their solidarity with Kavitha against the false propaganda of BJP leaders. Panchayati Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao strongly condemned the attack on MLC Kavitha's house by BJP leaders. The Minister was accompanied by MLC Gangadhar Goud, Chairman of the Disabled Corporation Vasudeva Reddy, TS Redco Chairman Satish Reddy and others.
Meanwhile, Commonwealth Games gold medal champion Nikhat Zareen was felicitated by the TRS leader who met her at her residence on Wednesday. Nikhat recalled that it was former MP Kavitha who took him to CM KCR in 2014 and sanctioned Rs.50 lakh for training.
After winning the world championship this year, she thanked KCR for granting an additional two crore rupees and allotting residential plots. Kavita said that it is a matter of pride for Nikhat from Nizamabad district of Telangana to become the world boxing champion. Kavitha said that we are proud of her achievements and she is an inspiration to young athletes.
