Congress chief says delimitation unfair to South, BJP calls it appeasement

Saying that delimitation should not lead to the marginalisation of any region or group, All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge advocated for the equitable distribution of power and resources, and fair representation in governance.

Warning against the fallout of political and social injustice due to delimitation, Kharge said: “Delimitation will be done based on population, and they are planning to reduce the number of Parliament and MLA seats in the southern region, while in the northern region, around 30 per cent more seats are being added.... If this happens, it will be unjust to everyone. You all must come together to prevent such injustice.”
