Chevireddy Teacher’s role crucial in nation building

Chandragiri MLA and TUDA Chairman Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy said that the role of teachers is crucial in nation building.
MLA Chevireddy honored 1150 teachers working in his constituency at the Mahathi Auditorium here on Sunday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former President and teacher Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who is celebrating Teacher's Day across the country.
Rajya Sabha Member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, TTD Advisory Committee Member Vemireddy Prashanthi, Chittoor MP Reddappa, TTD Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy, District Collector K Venkataramana Reddy, SP Parameswara Reddy, Joint Collector DK Balaji were present as guests.
After the award, Chevireddy handed over new clothes to the teachers. Speaking on this occasion, Chevireddy said that it is the responsibility of teachers to serve the country and make strong citizens.
Teachers working in government schools in five mandals including Chandragiri, Ramachandrapuram, Tirupati Rural, Bhakarapet, Pakala in the constituency were honored on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The MLA said that education is a powerful tool for development and poverty eradication.
TTD EO Dharma Reddy appealed to the teachers to teach spirituality along with education which helps children to grow up with moral and ethical values.
Elaborating extensively on the Bhagavad Gita and others, Reddy emphasized that teachers must do their part in carrying on the sacred Guru Parampara, meaning selfless service of spreading education.
Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy spoke about the changes coming in the current education system. He described that government schools are competing against corporate schools in the state and this is a good development in the system.
