Central team appreciates CM for his initiatives in agri sector

A central agriculture team comprising Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja, PM Fasal Bhima Yojana CEO, Joint Secretary Ritesh Chauhan, Farmer Welfare Department Assistant Commissioner and Nodal Officer Ajay Karan held a meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Wednesday. They discussed with him on various issues related to agriculture and farmers' welfare.

AP CM Jagan has expressed his willingness to join hands in the implementation of the free Fasal Bima Yojana and Fasal Bima Yojana implemented by the central government for the farmers. The Chief Minister appealed to the central team to come up with a good model for the implementation of the free crop insurance scheme.

Earlier, the central team inspected Integrated Call Center for Agriculture Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBK) and Integrated Agri Labs and praised the efforts of the Chief Minister for the development of the agriculture sector. Team Head Ahuja congratulated the Chief Minister for introducing Rythu Bharosa Kendras, Agri Labs and training programs implemented by the state government.

Appreciating the efforts of the AP government to use modern technology in agriculture, Manoj Ahuja said that AP is a pioneer in maintaining transparency by using technology in agriculture and introducing e-cropping system. He lauded the procurement of agricultural produce through RBK and stated that best practices should be implemented across the country.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy explained to the central team the efforts being made by the state government for the development of education, medical, health, agriculture, implementation of Rythu Bharosa, free crop insurance and price stabilization schemes.
