TRS Working President, Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday described Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the "joke of the century" calling Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao 'anti-farmer'. Rama Rao took to twitter to criticize Shah's criticism of the Chief Minister in the public meeting held earlier on Sunday.

He tweeted, “Who copied Chief Minister Manasaputrik Rythu Bandhu and rebranded it as PM-Kisan? Who apologized to the country's farmers after facing their outrage over the agricultural laws; after losing 700 precious lives (sic)?”

Rama Rao objected to Shah's criticism that Telangana was not included in the central government's crop insurance scheme and wanted to know why Narendra Modi's home state Gujarat had stopped this scheme.

He tweeted: “Earlier, BJP government in Gujarat also rejected this scheme of NPA government and withdrew. If your own state is not good for Gujarat then how can it be good for Telangana? What absurd pretense is this (sic)?”

It may be remembered that Rama Rao described the NDA administration as an NPA (non-performing alliance) government.
