BJP president Somu Veerraju meeting the intellectuals in Vijayawada on June 6

BJP state President Somu Veerraju said on Monday that the party is trying to consolidate its position in the state and will be holding an important meeting with the intellectuals in Vijayawada on June 6 to discuss various issues. He said the BJP is trying to strengthen itself as the alternative force in the state. Interacting with some media persons here on Monday, he said the YSRCP government is pursuing anti-Hindu policies. Stating that around 40 BJP workers were in jails in YSR district, he alleged that the state government is registering cases against the BJP workers if they question the government policies.

He said the BJP would resist the activities of the Kakinada and Atmakuru MLAs. He alleged there is no protection for Hindus in the state. The BJP state president said the Central government is allocating funds and projects for development of Andhra Pradesh and hoped that the BJP would be developed as an alternative. He said the party will win 2024 Assembly elections in the state and stated the people of Andhra Pradesh had seen both TDP and YSRCP governments.
