Bharat Kumar a Telugu-American receives Engineer of Year Award

Bharat Kumar Peddu, a Telugu American, has received the Engineer of the Year Award for 2022 from the American Council for Engineering Companies (ACEC) in recognition of his pioneering work in designing railway tracks and excellence in project management.

Bharat Kumar, a native of Vijayawada, has been working as a project engineer for Gannett Fleming Inc. in Maryland, USA for the past two decades. Currently, he is a Project Engineer for the Transit and Rail Systems Global Business Line at Gannett Fleming Inc.

Bharat also recalled that his father, director of the Chigurupati Srikishnaveni Talent School, received the Young Engineer of the Year award in 2021 from the University of Kentucky for his Masters in Transportation Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Morgan State University.

Bharat did his schooling at Veeramanchaneni Peddaiya Sidharatha Public School in Vijayawada. He did his engineering at SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram. And he also attended the Indian Business School in Bahrain.

As a licensed engineering professional he is a certified project management professional and Envision Sustainability Professional.
