AP to press for solution to bifurcation issues

Andhra Pradesh demands a system to address its concerns on effective implementation and resolution of all partition issues at the Southern Zonal Council meeting to be held in Thiruvananthapuram on September 3.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday directed the officials to prepare a note related to such a comprehensive mechanism. He opined that Andhra Pradesh, which has lost a capital like Hyderabad, has suffered a lot economically and is losing more due to the delay in resolving the partition issues.
The officers were directed to raise the issue of Polavaram in the meeting and request the Center to release sufficient funds to complete the project. The Chief Minister said that he was not attending the meeting due to the death of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
The delegation would be led by finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy. In this regard, the officials had placed 19 items on the agenda that were to be addressed at the Council meeting.
Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma, Special CS of Agriculture Poonam Malakondaiah, Special CSY of Municipal Administration, Urban Development Department MT Krishna Srilakshmi, Special CSK of Energy Department, Special CSK of Finance Department Babu SS Rawat, Special CS of Industries Department Karikala Valaven, Chief Secretary of Transport Department, Water Resources Department Principal Secretary Sasibhushan Kumar, GAD Ex-Officio Principal Secretary L Premachandra Reddy, Planning Secretary G Vijay Kumar, Justice Department Secretary G Satyaprabhakara Rao, Home Department Principal Secretary Parish Kumar Gupta and other senior officials were present.
