AP CM Jagan credits Rs. 137cr to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes

The Andhra Pradesh government has paid Rs 137 crore to 3,39,096 beneficiaries of various welfare schemes run by the government and also provided fresh pension, Arogyasree and ration cards to 3.10 lakh families.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy deposited the cash in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries from his camp office on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that his government is committed to the welfare of the poor and there is no need to run from pillar to post to get welfare schemes.
He said that the government has taken up this program to provide welfare schemes twice every year to those who are eligible and not benefited.
The intention is to provide welfare schemes to everyone who is eligible in the state. Jagan said that since the formation of the YSRCP government, the situation has changed and the benefits of the schemes are being delivered to the beneficiaries at their doorsteps.
Reddy said that 2, 99,085 new beneficiaries have joined the YSR pension gift, 7,051 people are getting ration cards and 3,035 people are being given Arogyashri cards.
With the issuance of new cards, the state government will spend Rs. He said that the additional cost of 935 crores will be borne and the government is implementing every scheme with utmost responsibility in a transparent manner without any discrimination.
Further, he said, the welfare calendar is properly followed and benefits are extended in a transparent manner, irrespective of the beneficiary's caste, religion or political affiliations, taking eligibility as the sole criteria.
He said that due to the good governance provided in the past three years, his government is able to confidently go to every beneficiary's house under our government (Gadapa Gadapaki mana Prabhutvam) program. Commitment, credibility and character to revolutionize governance.
