Andhra Pradesh's Republic Day tableau wins award after 30 years

After three decades, Andhra Pradesh secured an award at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. The state's tableau, depicting the rich cultural heritage of Etikoppaka toys, won the third prize in the jury category. The ministry of defence officially announced the results, with Uttar Pradesh and Tripura securing the first and second positions, respectively.

This achievement marks a significant moment for Andhra Pradesh, as the state's artistic excellence was acknowledged on the national stage. The tableau showcased the intricate craftsmanship of Etikoppaka lacquer toys, which hold immense historical and cultural value. The award highlights the govt's ongoing efforts to promote this traditional art form.
