A.P. Minister for HRD Lokesh calls for strict regulations for fitness of school buses

Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Nara Lokesh has expressed serious concern over the incident of a private school bus, with 35 children onboard, plunging into a pond at Mandasa mandal of Srikakulam district and causing injuries to four students on Saturday.

The Minister said private school managements should take greater precautions regarding student safety and strict regulations should be followed regarding the fitness of school buses, the experience of drivers and road safety measures.
