A day after his four-hour long meeting with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar on Monday said the TRS supremo has the leadership qualities to take on the BJP at the national level and the oratorical abilities to rival that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s.
Addressing a press conference following a three-hour long meeting with KCR on Sunday, former Congress MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar said that unlike Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav or any other such leaders, KCR is more articulate and has good communication skills.
He has a lot of information on what harm the BJP continuation will do to the country. India is losing its goodwill in many parts of the world, especially in the Gulf countries. Doubts are being raised over Indian secularism. KCR said it was the best choice to lead the anti-BJP forces.
Arun Kumar said that Modi had called for a Congress-free India in 2014, but in practice he wanted the country to be an opposition-free India. KCR is formulating a detailed agenda with a special focus on development and resource utilization.
He said that KCR had invited him to this meeting ten days ago. After the meeting, he realized that KCR had far more authentic information than he had. Arun told KCR that he was not in active politics and had retired a long time ago. KCR said he was a good analyst and could speak effectively on why the BJP should be ousted from power. Arun Kumar said KCR political strategist Prashant Kishore was also present at the meeting but did not take part in the discussion.
