London: The 23rd edition of the common wealth Games will be held in five cities in the Victoria state of Australia in March 2026, the common wealth Games Federation (CGF) has confirmed. The host city contract was signed in Victoria. In what will be a first-ever predominantly regional common wealth Games, Victoria 2026 will be staged in March 2026 across multiple cities and regional hubs including Melbourne, Geelong Bendigo, Ballarat and Gippsland. The opening ceremony will take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground the CGF informed in a release. The announcement follows a successful exclusive dialogue period between the CGF (CGAus) and Victoria, where an exciting proposal to stage the major multi-sports competition across the state was agreed upon.
