Venkaiah Naidu praises Siva Prasad's work on Geetha

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu praised the efforts of IAS officer Siva Prasad to make Bhagavad Gita easy to understand even by the common man.

Siva Prasad from Guntur is a Punjab Cadre Officer (Financial Commissioner, Rural Development & Panchayats, and Government of Punjab & Chandigarh). He presented English and Hindi copies of his Geeta Pragam - A Practitioner's Perspective to the Vice President in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Siva Prasad said that this book is a collection of essays on Bhagavad Gita. The complex topics presented in the Gita are simplified through these essays which help a beginner, especially the youth to understand the Gita to make their lives enjoyable.

They are able to handle the pressure and stress they face in daily life. Siva Prasad says that he has been doing this work for over 20 years and his experience with people and situations has helped him understand the teachings of the Geeta.

Apart from this, he studied Western thought processes and behavioral sciences to supplement his daily experience.
