The state receives a national award for best mining practices

Andhra Pradesh Department of Mines and Geology has received a national level award for adopting best practices in identifying mines and mine management.

Gopal Krishna Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, Department of Mines and Geology, V Venkata Reddy, Director, Mines and Geology received the award at the hands of Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a conference on National Mines held in New Delhi on Tuesday as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Central Government has given Rs.2.40 crores to Andhra Pradesh under Rashtriya Manara Vikas Puraskar.

Later, the central government submitted geological reports of five new minerals bauxite and iron ore for the year 2022-23. The Union Department of Mines and Geology has also given five star rating to Bharti Cements during the National Forum on Mines.
