M.Sirisha, a first year BMM student from, Hyderabad writes about her first day of college.
Nervousness, excitement, anxiety and curiosity were some of the feelings that I went through on my first day of college. I remember changing my nail paint thrice before I finally left or college… I just wanted to look my best neither the heat nor the crowd could deter me from missing any of the programmes that day. Some of the people whom I made on the first day of college are some of my closest friends today. It was indeed an unforgettable day for me. According to me, the first day of college is always a memorable day for freshers.

My preparations for the first day of college started almost a month before I even got admission. I planned for everything—from what to wear to how I will talk. Today when I recall my first day in college, I realize that no one made any serious impressions on me that day. In fact, I didn’t sit anywhere close to some of the classmates, even those who later went on to become very good friends. Even so, I think the excitement of the first day is unbeatable. So, I would suggest all the fresher’s to go with an open mind and try to interact as much as possible with their seniors.

We possibly can never forget the day we stepped into college for the very first time and how it left us with a plethora of emotions. While in school, we could not wait to get a feel of the much talked about “exciting” college life but when the D-day finally arrives, we see we can never be prepared enough. A new environment, new set of People College opens a whole new world in front of us.
