Srinivasa Kalyanam held in Washington DC

Srinivasa Kalyanam took place in Washington DC, America, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A team of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) priests and Vedic scholars performed Srinivasa's Kalyanam for two hours in accordance with Vaikhanasa Agama tradition amidst chanting of mantras and traditional musical instruments.

It may be noted here that TTD has been conducting sacred program in various cities of United States of America as part of Sanatana Dharma campaign in collaboration with APNRTS and TTD Local Advisory Committees.

The program was a divine feast for many NRIs who enthusiastically and devoutly participated in the divine marriage ceremony of Lord Srivenkateswara Swami with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi.

In Srivari Kalyanam, the priests performed the rituals like Punyahavchanam, Vishvaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpanam, Maha Sankalpa, Kanyadaman, Mangalya Dharana, Varanam Maiyaram, and finally Harati according to Hindu wedding ceremonies.

After the Kalyanam, prasads were distributed to the devotees who gathered in large numbers to witness the spiritual moment. Meanwhile, arrangements are being made to hold Srinivasa's Kalyanam on July 9 in Atlanta and July 10 in Birmingham, Alabama.
