Senegal Beat Egypt To Win Maiden African Cup Of Nations

Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 in a penalty shootout in the finals on February 6, 2022 at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon, to win their maiden Africa Cup of Nations. After the game ended in a 0-0 draw, Senegal’s Sadio Mane scored the winner for his country in the shootout after Egypt missed two penalties and also their record-extending 8th crown at the continental event. The hosts Cameroon secured the third place in the tournament.
