Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan received hundreds of complaints during the Jana Vani program held at MBVK building in the city on Sunday.
“We are not saying that we will do miracles. We do not claim to be powerful enough to resolve all your grievances. We are only saying that we will wake up the concerned authorities with our loud voice. "We will make the leaders who spend time with foreign trips remember the promises made to the people," he said.
As many people queued up to present petitions to Pawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena workers acknowledged their grievances and, step by step, ushered them into the auditorium to meet the Jana Sena chief.
Pawan Kalyan, who launched Jana Vani, said that they had to come to this event as the ruling party failed to organize such an event.
“When those in authority visit those with grievances and listen to them, the problem is solved. Unfortunately, the current government has no time for people. What is the use of being in power if you cannot solve public problems? Pawan Kalyan asked.
He said his Jana Vani was inspired by Peruvian economist Hernando De Soto's 'The Other Path'. The book mentions that meeting people directly will solve their problems.
"For the past three years, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has not had time to listen to the problems of common man and solve them. They demanded that a monthly pension of Rs.15, 000 should be given to those in wheelchairs and a rehabilitation center for the disabled in every district.
