IPL 2025 RCB vs RR : Hazlewood’s class helps Royal Challengers pull off first home win

Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday to end their home ground jinx in IPL 2025. This was the first match that RCB won in Bengaluru this season, having lost the previous three games at the venue. Coming to the game, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal scored fifties as RCB posted 205 for 5 after getting an invitation to bat first. Kohli scored 70 runs off 42 balls while Devdutt Padikkal hit 50 off 27 balls. The duo stitched a solid 95-run stand for the second wicket. For RR, Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 45. In the chase, RR were in command at several points but Josh Hazlewood's 4 for 33 and Krunal Pandya's 2 for 31 eventually sealed the game for RCB.
