Governor met the President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi

Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan paid a courtesy call on President of India Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday, a statement from the Raj Bhavan here said.

The Governor attended the swearing-in ceremony of Draupadi Murmu as the 15th President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday.

The Governor congratulated Draupadi Murmu on becoming the second woman and first person from a tribal community to be sworn in as the President of India and wished her a fruitful and successful tenure.

Both the Governor and the President are from the state of Odisha and have known each other for a long time.
