By Our Special Correspondent

English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) has come up with yet another digital platform to provide free resources to foreign language enthusiasts.

Digital resources named 'Open Language Learning Resources (OLLRs)' have been prepared in five foreign languages namely Chinese, Japanese, German, French and Spanish. The OLLRs were formally launched by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on July 4 at a grand function held at the sprawling EFL University campus.

Aiming to impart foreign language skills to foreign language aspirants, OLLRs are also being prepared in eight other languages. Over 60 lessons are made available as part of OLLRs.

The Union Education Minister stated that EFLU can play a vital role in the changing geopolitical order with the capacity to promote and provide language services. "Language is at the forefront of the transformational path in the 21st century, where ideas and knowledge gain dominance," said Dharmendra Pradhan.

The Minister pointed out that there is a need for EFLU to emerge as a multidisciplinary university and expand to other departments under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. E. Suresh Kumar, who is also a member of the University Grants Commission.

Project OLLRs was initiated under University Social Responsibility (USR) and Vice Chancellor Prof. Run by Suresh Kumar.
