Actor Dhanush has decided to proceed with the civil suit filed via his production house, Wunderbar Films, against actor Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan’s Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. The case, based on copyright violation, alleges that behind-the-scenes visuals from the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan were used in the Netflix documentary without permission.
An interim injunction was also sought by Dhanush against the documentary, which was released in November 2024, but the court refused to grant it. Following this, the court has scheduled a hearing for April 9, 2025 for the main civil suit.
