State BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday demanded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take steps to grant fresh loans to farmers who have suffered losses due to heavy rains/floods across the state and immediately waive crop loans as promised.

Speaking to the reporters, he said that KCR should wake up from his deep sleep and help the farmers who have suffered huge crop losses due to rains and floods. He said that as KCR did not implement the crop loan waiver as promised in the past, the farmers are facing serious difficulties as the banks are not giving fresh crop loans.

Bandi demanded the government to immediately hold a meeting with the bankers and see that fresh crop loans are sanctioned to the farmers. He alleged that the heavy rains for the past five days have caused huge losses to the farmers and brought immense hardship to the poor, and KCR is spending time in the name of reviews without coming out of his farmhouse, Pragathi Bhavan.

'Instead of wasting time by abusing the BJP, the CM should go to the people and see what they are saying about him. In 2018, he promised to waive crop loans of Rs 8 thousand crores, but even today he has not fulfilled that promise. As a result bankers are also adjusting the amount of farmers' savings against their previous loans, forcing them to rely on private lenders,” he said.

Bandi alleged that the government has stopped all other agricultural subsidies in the name of Rythu Bandhu. On the other hand, the Center is giving subsidy of Rs.27 thousand per year on fertilizers and PM Kisan Yojana.

Referring to a survey conducted by a private agency, Bandi said it was clear that BJP's vote share has increased from six percent to 30 percent, and TRS's graph has fallen drastically. It will not be difficult for the BJP to come to power in Telangana with another eight percent increase in votes in the next few months.

On August 3, Bandi spoke at the open meeting of the Congress party in Siricilla, and there was a state of confusion in the Congress. Instead of fighting with TRS, it is competing with BJP. He said that it is clear that Congress and TRS will fight the elections together and BJP's victory in the next elections cannot be prevented.
